Structured Public Interest Initiatives for 2026

The 2026 calendar of CAP JUNIORS offers an expansive range of weekly sessions, seasonal holiday modules, and special weekend community gatherings. Designed in collaboration with municipal sports authorities and certified physical educators, our programs cater to children, adolescents, and their families across four structured activity divisions. Every initiative is grounded in positive reinforcement, democratic accessibility, and inclusive sportsmanship.

1. Weekly Multi-Sport Discovery Academy (Ages 6 to 12)

Operating every Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning, this flagship initiative introduces children to a broad spectrum of athletic disciplines. Rather than specializing early in a single sport, participants rotate across four seasonal modules:

  • Autumn Trimester: Track & field fundamentals, cross-country endurance running, and coordination circuits.
  • Winter Trimester: Racket sports (badminton, mini-tennis fundamentals) and indoor gymnastics emphasizing balance and agility.
  • Spring Trimester: Cooperative collective games (basketball, non-contact touch rugby, volleyball) cultivating team dynamics.
  • Summer Trimester: Water safety fundamentals, aquatic mobility, and outdoor obstacle challenges.

Location: Set Club Complex (1335 Chemin de Granet) & Municipal Gymnasium Val de l'Arc.
Schedule: Wednesdays 14:00–16:30 | Saturdays 09:30–12:00.
Participation Terms: Open to all regional residents; equipment supplied by the association.

2. Adolescent Civic Athletic Clubs & Mentorship (Ages 13 to 17)

Specifically targeted at secondary school youth, this program pairs athletic training with peer leadership and civic mentorship. Designed to combat teenage isolation and screen fatigue, the club provides structured coaching in team sports, street workout fundamentals, and distance running, while incorporating round-table discussions on nutrition, injury prevention, mental resilience, and civic responsibility.

Location: Parc Gilbert Vilers & Chemin de Granet Athletics Pavilion.
Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays 17:30–19:30.
Participation Terms: Free participation for students via school partner referrals; open enrollment upon request.

3. Cultural & Heritage Explorations (All Ages)

Held twice monthly on weekends, our cultural outings connect youth with the rich heritage and natural landscapes of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Led by volunteer historians, artists, and naturalists, excursions include guided visits to local Roman archaeology sites, interactive painting workshops exploring the landscapes of Cézanne, and geology field surveys around the Sainte-Victoire massif.

Location: Rotating departure points from Aix-en-Provence Center (transport chartered by CAP JUNIORS).
Schedule: Alternate Saturdays 10:00–16:00 (Packed lunch provided).
Participation Terms: Fully subsidized group transit; advance civic registration required.

4. Subsidized Holiday Recreation & Nature Day Camps

During academic holiday breaks (Autumn, Winter, Spring, and Summer periods), CAP JUNIORS operates week-long day camps. These camps combine intensive athletic education, team-building obstacle courses, arts and crafts, and outdoor eco-tourism expeditions. For parents working during school recesses, these day camps provide dependable, nurturing, and affordable environments where children flourish socially and physically.

Location: Set Club Headquarters, 1335 Chemin de Granet, 13090 Aix-en-Provence.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 08:30–17:30 during French zone B school vacations.
Participation Terms: Sliding-scale contributions linked to municipal quotient familial; zero child turned away.

Participation Guidelines and Enrollment Protocols

To preserve safety, individual attention, and educational quality, CAP JUNIORS enforces strict coach-to-participant ratios: a maximum of 1 educator per 8 children for ages 6–10, and 1 per 12 for adolescents. Every participant must submit a basic medical questionnaire certifying fitness for physical activity (in accordance with French sports ministry decrees).

Enrollment is continuous throughout the academic year as long as venue capacities permit. Families wishing to register a child may attend any Wednesday orientation session or submit an enrollment request via our digital portal. All necessary equipment—including balls, rackets, safety helmets, and training bibs—is provided by CAP JUNIORS at no supplementary charge.
