About CAP JUNIORS: Two Decades of Civic Commitment to Youth

Genesis and Evolution of Our Association
The foundational roots of CAP JUNIORS trace back to the mid-2000s in Aix-en-Provence. At that time, a dedicated cohort of physical education teachers, local sports facilitators, and youth advocates observed a disturbing trend across the metropolitan territory: despite rapid suburban expansion and municipal development, entry points into structured recreational sports were becoming increasingly corporatized, privatized, and financially exclusionary. Democratic Governance & Administrative Structure
In strict accordance with democratic non-profit principles, CAP JUNIORS operates under a transparent, member-directed governance structure. Unlike commercial corporate entities directed by executive shareholders, our direction is determined entirely by our General Assembly, which convenes annually to debate program agendas, review complete financial audits, and elect our Administrative Council (Conseil d'Administration).
Every active member, volunteer mentor, and participating family holds a voice in our collective direction. The Administrative Council consists of volunteer directors who serve without financial remuneration, stock options, or personal compensation. Council members contribute their professional expertise in education, child psychology, public administration, and law purely out of civic dedication.
General Assembly
The sovereign organ of the association. Meets annually to review activity reports, vote on budgetary allocations, adopt ethical guidelines, and elect council representatives on a one-member, one-vote democratic basis.
